This scholarship is intended to assist outstanding undergraduate or graduate students.

Award
• One or more scholarships not to exceed the cost of tuition and fees. The number and amount of awards will vary depending on distributions from the endowment and the applicant pool in any given year.

Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
Undergraduate students who are declared music minors and declared majors in one of the following disciplines:
• all disciplines in the College of Engineering
• all disciplines in the College of Sciences
• Anthropology
• Communication
• Psychology
• Sociology
• Other social and behavioral science disciplines as may be added in the future.

Or Undergraduate students who are declared music majors with a declared minor or major in one of the above disciplines.

Or Graduate music majors with a secondary research focus in one of the above disciplines.

Or Graduate students who are declared majors in one of the above disciplines with a secondary research focus in music.

Requirements

• Completed application form
• Brief essay (no less than 200 words) explaining the importance of music in your intellectual and personal life.
For graduate students, the essay should include an explanation of your research areas of focus.
