2012-2013 EPA Regional Research Awards

Deadline: November 12, 2012 at 11:30 PM HST - CLOSED

All Psi Chi members (undergraduate and graduate) are eligible to submit their research for the Regional Research Awards. Cash awards of $300 each are presented to students submitting the best research papers to Psi Chi sessions at regional conventions. The number of awards in each region varies based on the size of the region; a total of 78 awards of $300 each are available each academic year. Award monies are distributed at the conventions following the presentations. Deadlines for submission vary according to region and sometimes from year to year. If there are not enough worthy submissions, all awards do not have to be presented.

1. Eligibility for a Psi Chi Research Award at EPA 2013 is confined to papers/posters of which the senior author is a Psi Chi member AND the paper/poster has been submitted to EPA. The student must be registered as a Psi Chi member at submission in order to be eligible for the award and must be the first author. Faculty first authors are not eligible.

2. Only empirically based papers/posters are accepted.

3. The awards will only be for papers/posters accepted by EPA and presented in the Psi Chi program sessions at EPA. The presenter must present at the EPA convention to receive the award. The awards will be presented by the Psi Chi eastern region vice-president, Dr. Mercedes McCormick.

5. Awards are for papers/posters rather than individual authors; money will go to first author (student) for distribution, with any faculty members being precluded from the monetary distribution.
